Crime in Washington 2007 Annual Report

This report lists statewide crime statistics and crime data for individual jurisdictions within the State of Washington. Data on law enforcement staffing is also included. This report was compiled and prepared in partnership by the Washington Association of Sheriffs (WASPC) and Police Chiefs and the Washington State Criminal Justice Training commission. The Kent Police Department’s Strategic Plan for 2007-2011 has been created to explore and provide direction for our agency for the next five years. Our purpose is to build on our strong foundation and ask ourselves how we can be even better. It served to force us to think about where we have been, where we are, and where we are going. Victim Assistance Information

The Kent Police Department, strongly believes that crime victims and witnesses must be afforded rights to protect them from criminal activity. The Information Assistance pamphlet outlines some of the protections afforded by law. The pamphlet is available in several languages.

Child Car Seat Inspections Schedule

The South King County Child Passenger Safety Coalition offers free car seat inspections throughout the year at South King County locations. No appointment is necessary; you just need to arrive within the scheduled times. Child Car Seat Inspection Schedule (103 kb pdf).

Kent Traffic School

Kent Traffic School is a 3 ½ hour traffic safety education program for drivers who have been cited for a minor traffic infraction. It includes current driving laws, safe driving techniques, and Kent-specific traffic data to make the driver more aware and knowledgeable about local driving conditions.
